CUSTOM PRINTING SERVICES

Exec-U-Mail Direct has specialized in Direct Mail printing for over 30 years. Printing for direct mail requires knowledge of sizes, weights and paper finish that will be compatible with postal requirements.

We can print simple one color flyers up to complex six color jobs on our state of the art printing presses. Quantities can range from five hundred pieces up to one million.

What do we print? How long will it take? What do we need from you? Here are some answers. What are you mailing? You have the choice of a postcard, self-mailer, newsletter, letter with envelope, catalogue, poster, specialty-boxed item.

POSTCARD
A simple cost effective way to "get your message to the people who buy." Postcards are used to announce a sale, an opening, or a special event. Either coated or uncoated stock is recommended depending upon cost considerations. Coated stock is better for photos or sharp colors. Ten or 12 point stock is most common.

SELF-MAILER
Provides more room for graphics and copy so you can say more. It can have a built in response card and can be designed in a variety of sizes and shapes. You also save on the cost of printing a separate envelope and inserting costs. We recommend anything from 100# book to 100# cover.

NEWSLETTER
Giving your clients valuable information in the form of a newsletter is both helpful and image building. Most newsletters are two or more colors and contain photos and articles. We suggest a coated stock 100# text to have sharp photos and art.

LETTER & ENVELOPE
Keeps your information private, can be personalized, and gives the opportunity to have multiple inserts. If you are sending a personal letter a laser compatible stock is recommended. 24# writing stock for higher end and 60# offset with a 20# envelope for lower end.

CATALOGUE
Gives a chance to display many products or services. The back cover can be used for the address and postal indicia.

POSTER
Makes a strong impact and can vary from a company's calendar to a fine piece of art. Most posters are mailed in tubes but some are folded down to mailing size. The sky is the limit as far as color and stock is concerned.

IS YOUR DESIGN MAILABLE?
Exec-U-Mail Direct recommends sending us a comp, or proof sheet, of your design before your artist has spent many hours on a design that is not post office compatible. The mail piece should be in a rectangular shape to be able to get postage discounts. When a designer brings us a square mail piece there is a postage surcharge of up to 11 cents per piece.

ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS
Artwork can be sent to us as a digital file, either Macintosh based or PC format is acceptable. A FTP site is used to transfer larger files, email is acceptable for small files or text files. In either case, please include all fonts, photos, attachments, etc.

BLUE LINE OR COLOR PROOF
In most cases you will receive either a blue line or color proof.
